FAQ
Who qualifies for XPEDITE?
Unfortunately, everyone does not qualify for this service. You must be a reseller
of criminal records. XPEDITE does not perform services for retail customers. Our
customers include pre-employment screening companies, information providers, security
specialists, government entities, tenant screening services and insurance providers.
Are there any monthly fees or sign up costs?
No. There are no monthly fees or sign up costs to order our services. There are
also no minimum monthly volume requirements. You simply pay for what you order.
How long does it take before I can order searches?
Sign up online and you may begin ordering searches immediately. A completed customer
application, service agreement and a MasterCard, Visa, or American Express account
number are required to sign up online. Once your account is approved, you will be
issued a customer number and password.
How often do you invoice and do you offer credit terms?
We invoice the 1st and 15th of each month for requests completed during that billing
period. We accept MasterCard, Visa or American Express to pay for services rendered.
If you would like to be considered for credit terms of net 25 days, complete and
sign our Customer Credit Application and fax it to us at 513-728-4427. To eliminate
processing delays, please provide all the information requested on the application.
To be approved for credit terms, a favorable credit rating is required. Payment
must be received within 25 days or there will be an interruption of service.
What quality controls do you have?
Our quality control audits are performed at various stages of the search process.
We have implemented an online ordering environment and utilize software that validates
data input and minimizes key entry errors. We "salt" the work sent to
the field agents with known information as well as randomly ask for copies to verify
information accuracy and to monitor their performance.
Who performs the searches and what qualifications do they have?
Although there are no special licenses needed to become a court researcher, XPEDITE
has criteria that must be met before someone can join our network of more than 1400
researchers. We look for individuals that have at least 3 years of experience and
references that will validate their performance and character.
Where do you go and what courts do you visit?
XPEDITE performs work in every state and Canada. There are over 3100 counties in
the U.S. and we visit them all each month. We perform on-site searches mostly at
the county level and we specialize in providing criminal felony and misdemeanor
information. We visit various court jurisdictions to provide a complete response.
How far back do you search?
With the exception of a federal bankruptcy search which are ten (10) year searches,
all other criminal and civil searches are for a minimum of seven (7) years. If the
information is in the Court database, we will report it. If the search required
is by hand, then we only search seven (7) years.
What is the average turnaround time?
90% of the reports are completed within 48 hours. Utilizing FASTRAX Online will
improve your turnaround time significantly. Be aware that some of the search requests
will go beyond 72 hours due to archived records, restricted public access, court
closures, inclement weather and other circumstances beyond our control.
Are there any additional costs on the searches?
There are some courts that charge an access fee to perform searches. We would, therefore,
pass along these costs to you. Additionally, if you ever need any document copies,
we will be happy to provide those to you at cost.
How do I submit and retrieve reports?
You can do it one of four ways: E-mail, Facsimile, through our proprietary software
FASTRAX Online or by importing your data into an XPEDITE-designed database and submitting
the data electronically for XPEDITE to import.
What is the average cost per report?
Prices depend on volume and the mode of submission and retrieval. If you submit
and retrieve your requests through FASTRAX Online, you receive an automatic discount
of 2.5%. The reports are as high as $9.75 and as low as $3.25 per request. The national
average is $7.50 per request. Visit our services section for a complete pricing
schedule.
Can I pay my account with a Credit Card?
Yes. XPEDITE accepts Visa, MasterCard and American Express. You must have a minimum
of 50 requests per billing period and will be charge a 5% surcharge.
Are release forms necessary?
No, because XPEDITE is a wholesaler we do not require copies of signed release forms.
It is your responsibility to maintain these records and remain in compliance with
the FCRA.

and submit it to you, it is marked as done. The time it takes to complete the transaction
is the TAT. Weekend hours from 8:00pm Friday through 8:00am Monday are deducted
from our TAT calculations. We also subtract 24 hours for holidays.
